Walking and jogging path along the Savinja river

The Savinja riverwalk and the path along the river are popular among the walking and jogging residents of Celje. For many, it provides the exercise they look for.

The path was constructed during the Savinja flood control construction works. The most popular section of the path runs past the summer open-air swimming pool and past Špica, a popular gathering point for the locals. From there it leads to the Levec hanging bridge which one can either walk past and continue to Kasaze, or cross into the forest, returning past Petriček to Čop (Lisce) bridge.

Construction of jogging paths is the contribution by the Municipality of Celje to development and preservation of a healthy lifestyle of both our citizens and visitors.
