The Church of Saint Maximilian of Celeia, located opposite the bus terminal, is dedicated to the legendary compatriot of Celeia, bishop Maximillian, who is supposed to have died a violent death at that spot in the year 283.

The church was built in the late 15th century, but it has since been refurbished several times. Plenty of baroque equipment is preserved in the interior, while its western wall features a well-preserved gothic portal.
